Lost Things Found is the result of a long-term photography project dedicated to the Eleonas flea market in Athens. It is a photo book about the curious world of objects: how they come together in unexpected and often baffling ways, telling stories of memory, identity, and connections.
To borrow the photographer's words:
"There is a joke going around in Athens that everything you have ever lost ends up at the Eleonas market. You often hear stories of apartments emptied of their valuables as soon as the occupants disappear. But most of the time, it is just the usual trade: old unsold stock, food, clothes, tools, and everyday accessories, simply sold below market price. Most people spend their lives earning a living: one person's loss is another's gain. What someone has forgotten, another may remember."
Note: the book is entirely in English.
